Mobile Menace

 Since the use of hand-held mobile phones was banned for drivers, I have been doing my bit to cut off their calls.   If I'm in my car, I'll keep my hand on the horn and point at them until they are suitably embarrassed and put their mobile phone down.   

When on the bike, I have a choice - either keep the thumb on that horn or rev my large engine with it’s loud but legal exhaust so that they can't actually hear anyone on their phone.  If you can actually block their passage ('scuse me) at the same time, all the better! This does, of course, run the risk of encouraging road rage on the phone user's part, but somehow I'm fairly confident that I'd have a few witnesses if it all turned nasty......... 

Maybe if a few like-minded riders/drivers participated, we could encourage people to concentrate on the driving and make the roads safer for all on them!
