SOLENT ADVANCED MOTORCYCLISTS Check List for use and towing of the SAM MDU DOC NUMBER 030JP ISSUE NUMBER 1 DATE 21.06.07 This following list must to be completed on each occasion the MDU is deployed and the completed Document sent to the SAM Secretary. Event organiser and/or the person towing the MDU. Please tick each box and sign after inspection has been carried out. 1. Tower to be briefed and to check, TYRES, BRAKES, NUMBER PLATE AND LIGHTS before use. ---------- 2. At event Unit to be placed in a secure position to ensure that when doors open will not obstruct traffic ---- 3. MDU jacks placed to ensure no tilting can occur --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. MDU brakes firmly applied ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. Number of persons in MDU limited to six -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6. IF petrol in MDU this to stored to rear of site on ground under MDU --------------------------------------------------------- 7. If Generator needs petrol adding then funnel to be used-------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8. No trip hazards to be placed in the MDU -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 9. The steps to be firmly attached ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10. Generator checked for petrol leaks, situated safely & locked to unit with cable and padlock. ------------------ 11. Cables and plugs checked for damage --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 12. Cables routed safely for trip hazard and not too tight ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 13. Bikes parked alongside the MDU safely -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14. Awning to be opened in accordance with instructions. Note all members to briefed to ensure that if windy conditions exist then awning to be withdrawn. Supports to awning to be clearly marked. ----------------------------- 15 Flag pole to be inserted with two people ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 16. A minimum of two helpers to be on duty all times. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 17.
